Visions, values and aims
At Crewe Road Nursery, we believe that knowing our children and families on a personal level helps build up our relationships and creates a feeling of comfort and belonging. Every member of our team understands the trust afforded in them when looking after your child, and feels honoured to do so.
By creating this nurturing feeling of a home away from home, children and families can place their trust in the love and care we provide for each individual child.
The nursery aims -
- To ensure children are provided with a happy, warm and stimulating environment.
- To ensure children feel loved, safe and secure.
- To ensure children are highly motivated to explore engaging play experiences indoors and outdoors.
- To engage children in self-discovery, curiosity, and exploration towards their own learning.
- To invite kind, passionate caregivers into the setting who love their profession.
- To promote and protect children's autonomy and rights over their life experiences.
- To create a home away from home ethos and uphold an open-door policy.
- To celebrate and be inclusive of children and families for who they identify as.
- To provide guidance on sensitive family matters with options of professional support from outside agencies.
- To embed Scotland’s play strategy in our everyday practice.
- To adhere to health and safety procedures.
- To embed GIRFEC principles of SHANARRI throughout the nursery.
